The company
Passionate, curious, and innovative are a few words that describe our people. We are powering the future, connecting communities, and igniting innovation. Orion owns and operates the electricity distribution network that provides power to central Canterbury. As the third largest electricity distribution network in New Zealand, we cover remote rural areas, regional towns, and the city of Christchurch.
We are an essential service and take our responsibilities seriously. We are community owned and working here means a career with meaning and purpose that makes a difference in your very own neighbourhood.
The role
Behind every great decision we make, is great data. This is your opportunity to shape how it's captured, validated and trusted across our electricity network asset base.
Due to continued growth, we're looking for an experienced Asset Data Acquisition Lead to redefine how asset data enters our business and integrates into core systems. Rather than simply managing data quality, you'll improve the systems, the standards and processes that ensure critical asset data is accurate from day one. You'll work across engineering, operations, contractors and our technology teams to reduce rework, improve automation and help build smarter and more efficient ways of working.
If you're energised by solving complex challenges, improving the way things are done and leaving things better than you found them, this is your opportunity to shape the future of asset information and make a genuine impact across our network.
