The role
Due to continuous growth, we are looking for an Asset Manager - Overhead reporting to our Head of Network Assets. You'll lead the technical, commercial strategic leadership and optimisation of our overhead portfolios and vegetation management. The role will strengthen our asset management focus by optimising performance, cost and risk through data driven insights, advanced modelling, and lifecycle engineering excellence.
Collaborating across the business, you'll contribute to our network asset management framework aligning with our strategic plans, regulatory expectations and industry best practices. Lead the development and execution of lifecycle strategies for overhead portfolios
Apply advanced economic and engineering analysis including life cycle costing and regulatory modelling
Develop and maintain asset class strategies, maintenance plans, renewal strategies and inspection standards
Own and forecast the fault/reactive maintenance budgets for overhead portfolios
Provide effective team leadership and actively support change and improvement initiatives
About you
Extensive experience in the electricity industry focusing on asset lifecycle engineering with an engineering degree - preferably in Civil or Mechanical Engineering
Demonstrated expertise in the design, operation, and maintenance of electricity network assets
Sound knowledge of ISO 55000 (Asset Management) and ISO 31000 (Risk Management)
Proven capability in asset investment prioritisation and justification of capital and operational expenditure
Strategic and analytical thinker with strong communication skills with a customer-centric and empowering mindset
