The role
Due to continuous growth, we are looking for an Asset Manager - Cables and Distribution reporting to our Head of Network Assets. You will lead the strategic lifecycle management of our cables, distribution transformer and switchgear asset portfolios. The role will strengthen our asset management focus by optimising performance, cost and risk through data driven insights, advanced modelling, and lifecycle engineering excellence.
Ensuring these assets are managed to deliver optimal outcomes relating to cost, risk, performance and industry principles is essential to our on-going success to our transition to a cleaner energy future.

Lead the development and execution of lifecycle strategies for underground cables and distribution systems portfolios
Apply advanced analytical techniques and engineering analysis to monitor our assets health and assist our future cost-effective decisions
Lead the development of inspection standards and contribute to reactive, fault maintenance and high-failure-risk cable forecasting and budgeting
Develop and lead investment plans for underground asset renewal
Engage with stakeholders including regulators, consultants and industry groups as a leader in industry asset management
About you
Extensive experience in the electricity distribution sector focusing on asset lifecycle engineering with a relevant degree - preferably in the Electrical or Power Engineering
Demonstrated expertise in the design, operation, and maintenance of distribution network assets
Sound knowledge of ISO 55000 (Asset Management) and ISO 31000 (Risk Management)
Proven capability in economic analysis and investment planning for physical infrastructure assets
Strong leadership capabilities with the ability to foster collaboration and continuous improvement
Strategic and analytical thinker with strong communication skills with a customer-centric and empowering mindset
