Enable is 100% owned by the people of Christchurch, through the Christchurch City Council and alongside their owners, they are committed to being carbon neutral in their operations by 2030. Serving the community is at the heart of everything they do and this is a fantastic opportunity to join the team.
The role
As a Business Development Manager – Builders, you’ll be the key link between the building community and the teams delivering fibre on the ground. You’ll work closely with builders from early conversations through to completed builds helping them plan ahead, understand what’s possible, and make fibre a seamless part of every project.
Your days will be a mix of site visits, face-to-face conversations, planning discussions and internal collaboration. You’ll spend time understanding how your customers work, what matters to them, and how we can support better outcomes — not just today, but over the long term. This isn’t a transactional sales role; it’s about trust, consistency and being someone builders genuinely want to work with.
Internally, you’ll be a strong advocate for your customers, working alongside service and delivery teams to coordinate timing, solve problems early and keep things moving smoothly. Externally, you’ll be seen as a knowledgeable, reliable partner who helps make builds easier and future-ready.
If you enjoy building relationships, being out in the field, and guiding customers through a journey rather than chasing quick wins, this role will suit you perfectly.
