The role
It's exciting times at Orion and the energy sector, now is the time to be a part of our on-going success. We are looking for a Delivery Manager (Substation) to deliver exceptional infrastructure contract management services for our Substations network.
This role is a great mix of collaboration and engagement across Orion, growing critical external relationships, continuous improvement practices and financial management. If this is your world and you're an expert in your field, you'll want to know more.
Ensure the delivery of high-quality end to end contract management for Substation works and management of SDP's
Manage (Opex and Capex) scheduled and non-scheduled work to ensure efficient delivery of Substation works
Collaborate closely with the Network Portfolio team regarding pricing, timelines and resource allocation
Conduct audits against contracted works and the management of incidents and continuous improvement actions
Conduct comprehensive inspections and testing of substation grounds, structures and equipment to identify maintenance priorities
Ensure job close out information is correct and completed ready for the asbuilt process
About you
Significant depth of experience in substation distribution and contract/project management with a relevant qualification in Substation distribution
Level 6 tertiary qualification in the electrical industry or equivalent knowledge gained through experience
Strong personal leadership skills with the ability to motivate, influence and guide others
Contract experience in NZS3910
Understanding of the NZ Regulatory environment that applies to the electricity industry is an advantage
Natural ability to connect and collaborate with others where you can convey technical information and ideas to various audiences
A curious, pro-active and positive approach with the ability to think outside the box with a customer centric approach
