The role
In this role, you won't just keep us compliant, you'll be a partner, a coach and a guiding voice who helps teams understand risk, make great decisions and create safer ways of working. From safety-critical risk and occupational health to emergency preparedness, you'll be right in the mix helping our people stay healthy, informed and protected.

Lead and advise as a subject matter expert on safety critical risk management, including coordinate programme development, implementation and effectiveness monitoring in high risk and diverse settings
Partner with teams across the business to lift safety capability and culture by coaching leaders and supporting frontline teams; building confidence so safety becomes a natural part of how people work
Support incident reviews, occupational health initiatives, injury management, audits, training sessions and facilitate continuous improvement workshops
Help teams design safer work processes to strengthen emergency preparedness
Translate data, insights and legislation into simple, human-centred actions people can use
Champion best-practice QHS across employees, Health & Safety committee, contractors and service partners to lift safety standards
About you
A qualification in Health and Safety (NEBOSH or NZQA L6)
At least 5 years' relevant technical experience, including experience in a similar Business Partnering role
Understanding of risk assessment facilitation (i.e. Bow-Tie, Critical Risk/Critical Controls analysis)
Able to build trust throughout the business functions through leadership, coaching and development of ongoing improvement programmes, with an understanding in applying contemporary quality, health and safety principles
Able to influence teams across the business to lift safety capability and culture. Coach leaders and support frontline teams building confidence so safety becomes a natural part of how people work
