The role
We are looking for a Network Access & Training Manager reporting to our Head of QHS. You will translate industry legislation and operating standards into high-quality, practical training that protects our people and safeguards our licence to operate. This is a strategically important leadership role at the centre of safety and operational excellence.
Leading a team of Trainer/Coaches, you'll design and deliver industry-aligned programmes while ensuring network access competency standards remain robust and current, and partner across the business and industry to lift capability.

Lead and develop a team of Trainer/Coaches and subject matter experts
Ensure network access and operational competency standards are robust, compliant and industry-leading
Design and deliver industry-aligned training programmes and annual coaching plans
Translate legislation, standards and operating rules into practical, engaging learning solutions
Maintain current network access procedures, operating standards and competency frameworks
Partner across engineering, operations, QHS and external industry bodies to strengthen capability
Drive continuous improvement through insight, audit outcomes and shared learning initiatives
About you
Significant previous technical experience within electricity network operations, including time spent leading others
Be recognised for strong leadership and the ability to coach, mentor and lift team performance
A deep understanding of electrical industry Health & Safety in complex, high-risk environments
Ability to build credibility and a confidence operating across both field and corporate settings
A natural communicator who can influence at all levels and translate technical detail into clear direction
Be highly organised with the ability to prioritise strategically and deliver through others
Be known for building trust, fostering collaboration and strengthening relationships across diverse stakeholder groups
