The role
Their new and purpose build facilities in Omaka and Redwoodtown Medical Practices (Blenheim) are looking for prescribing Nurse Practitioners to provide high-quality primary care healthcare to the local community. Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure the highest quality of healthcare is provided to patients and their families
Oversee the treatment and care planning of patients including assessments, diagnosis and prescribing medications – preferably with experience specialising in respiratory
Provide patient education and counselling to promote health and prevent disease
Develop collaborative working relationships with community health services, Health NZ, ACC and Government public health providers
Continually improve patient health through health programmes at national, regional and local levels
About you
Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a primary care Nurse Practitioner
New Zealand Nursing Registration and Nurse Practitioner scope issued by the NZ Nursing Council – or equivalent overseas qualifications
Ability to maintain high standards of clinical services, assessment, diagnosis and treatment planning
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
Ability to work effectively with electronic client record systems
Proven ability to actively engage in quality initiatives with a passion and enthusiasm for the care you provide
