The role
Due to an internal movement, we are looking for a Programme Manager (Distribution) to manage the overall design, programming and scoping of our above ground distribution assets and package maintenance, relocation and inspection contracts. You will provide advice during the delivery phase and monitor the completion of work against programme scope, cost and timeline.

Responsible for the scope, specification, design, and programming of maintenance, replacement and reinforcement works
Build and foster strong relationships and represent Orion's interests with councils, authorities and other utility organisations
Contribute to our Asset Management and Annual Reticulation Maintenance plans and budgets
Plan and implement works associated with proposed network growth, distribution substations, network conflicts, undergrounding, and relocation requests from third parties
Commission surveys, testing and inspections to minimise asset failures ensuring compliance is within regulation and Codes of Practice
Provide support to other Orion teams to enable a successful procurement and delivery of work.
About you
5 years previous experience within the Electricity Distribution industry
Level 6 NZ Diploma in Engineering or equivalent knowledge gained through practical experience
Excellent communication and the ability to connect across various external parties with strong negotiation and influencing skills
Analytical experience with financial data, inspection data and data visualisations e.g. PowerBI
Understanding of the NZ Regulatory environment and how it applies to the electricity industry
Previous experience in a project management environment.
