The role


Due to continued growth, we've created a brand-new opportunity for a Programme Manager (Network Maintenance). This is a highly connected role where you'll coordinate and drive critical maintenance programmes across our network working across multiple teams, service delivery partners, and stakeholders to keep critical maintenance programmes moving.

You'll help scope, package and coordinate preventative and corrective maintenance activities, support delivery planning and forecasting, monitor programme performance, and identify opportunities to improve reliability, efficiency, and long-term network performance.

This is a role where you'll balance technical understanding, stakeholder engagement, coordination, and problem solving in a fast-paced and evolving environment.


  • Drive maintenance work across our network ensuring activities are well scoped, packaged, organised, are progressing smoothly, whilst supporting safe delivery

  • Organise and prioritise maintenance activities helping balance day-to-day operational needs with longer-term network performance

  • Work closely with internal teams, contractors, and service delivery partners to keep programmes moving forward and on time with everyone aligned on priorities and timelines

  • Monitor the progress of maintenance programmes, keeping an eye on quality, budgets, timelines and overall delivery outcomes

  • Develop and support maintenance planning and forecasting activities that help improve network reliability, reduce risk and maintain strong network performance

  • Look for smarter and more efficient ways to improve how maintenance work and processes are delivered across the business

About you


  • Experience working within the electricity distribution industry, with a strong understanding of how network operations, maintenance, and delivery environments work

  • NZ Diploma in Engineering Level 6, or equivalent practical industry experience

  • A practical understanding of modern asset management and maintenance practices, with an appreciation for reliability, risk, and long-term network performance

  • Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to work effectively across stakeholder groups with a continuous improvement mindset

  • Confident communicator and problem solver who can navigate fast-paced environments and keep projects progressing

  • Experience using systems such as Maximo, GIS, Power BI, or similar platforms would be highly regarded
