The role


Enable are looking for a Senior Business Development Manager, this is a relationship driven role with fantastic scope, you’ll work at the front end of Enable’s growth - identifying, shaping and securing major development opportunities across Christchurch, Queenstown and beyond.

You’ll build trusted, long-term relationships with developers, councils, surveyors, planners and industry partners, bringing the voice of the customer back into Enable and helping them become the preferred network partner for connected communities. This is not transactional sales - it’s strategic, consultative and outcomes-focused.

You’ll have the autonomy to shape strategy, the credibility to operate at a senior level, and the backing of a collaborative commercial and delivery team to turn opportunity into reality.



  • Lead strategic business development across major residential and commercial developments, helping expand the fibre network into high-growth areas and new markets

  • Create meaningful, long-term partnerships with developers, councils and industry stakeholders, built on trust and commercial value

  • Identify, shape and secure new growth opportunities by understanding customer needs, market trends and commercial drivers early in the development lifecycle

  • Develop compelling commercial offers and business cases, working closely with internal delivery, design and commercial teams to bring solutions to life

  • Act as the voice of the customer within the business, ensuring customer experience, delivery outcomes and commercial goals stay aligned

  • Operate with a high level of autonomy, energy and ownership, representing the organisation professionally while driving sustainable, long-term growth

About you


  • A natural relationship-builder who can engage confidently at a senior level building trust and credibility across a wide range of stakeholders

  • Proven senior business development experience with a track record of identifying opportunities and turning them into sustainable, long-term outcomes

  • Experience in property development, infrastructure, construction or telecommunications, with an understanding of how complex projects move from concept to delivery

  • Strong commercial judgement, including the ability to shape business cases, assess value, and balance customer needs with commercial objectives

  • Confident and comfortable presenting to varied audiences, from developers and technical teams through to councils, community groups and governance forums

  • Self-driven and outcomes-focused while collaborating effectively, with a reputation for integrity, resilience and follow through
