The role
Due to continued growth, we are looking for a Tree Liaison Officer based in Christchurch to work in the wider Canterbury area alongside our utility and council contracts ensure we deliver the highest standard of work with exceptional service and communication. This role will touch on so many aspects of Asplundh, who they are, and what they do. From liaising with property owners, scheduling of works, crew management and risk assessments and audits, no day will be the same.
You’ll have strong relationships built with the local business and utility networks. If you have industry knowledge, and are looking to upskill and even come off the tools, we’ll give you all the training you need to set you up for success.
Lead, motivate and manage a team of qualified utility arborists
Maintain an exception level of Health, Safety and Quality in everything we do, the safety of our people and the community are paramount
Engage and build strong relationships with EDB’s, clients and contractors
Complete accurate work planning, cost tracking, revenue and profit reports
Conduct electricity network inspections and risk assessments
Liaise with the asset owner while working alongside field staff to ensure requirements are carried out
Ensure compliance with H&S regulations and procedures while fostering a safe working environment
About you
Proven experience in an arboriculture environment liaising with utility networks, customers and contractors with a Level 4 Arboriculture qualification
National Certificate Utility Arboriculture – Level 3
Full class 2 drivers licence
Ability to build strong and trusted relationships with an organised and customer focused approach
A strong work ethic with the ability to make critical decisions focusing on safety, compliance and quality
Proven experience conducting risk assessments, site audits and incident reporting
Excellent computer skills (Excel, Office) and the ability to learn new technology (tablets and apps)
A calm, proactive and positive attitude and approach to your work with a good level of fitness
